Volleyball may be one of the few sports that can be played with as much normalcy as possible, even through a global pandemic.
Regardless, COVID-19 safety guidelines will be in effect as the Prince George Youth Volleyball Club (PGYVC) aims to look for its next set of hungry athletes wanting to compete for the Kodiaks in 2021.
The organization is hosting tryouts at UNBC for its 13 squads broken down by age between Under-13s and Under-18s.
ViaSportBC’s current stage amid ongoing public health orders include non-contact practices and training sessions, as well as no travel and no spectators.
These rules are being applied for interested Prince George volleyballers this weekend, in addition to mandatory masks and social distancing whenever possible.
The PGYVC says no one will be allowed to enter the gym early, but it encourages athletes to arrive 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled slot to sign up and pay the evaluation fee.
Each registrant will then be given a number and a court before being granted into the building in smaller groups.
