TSN sportscaster Lindsay Hamilton will be the guest host when the Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament returns in July.

The annual fundraiser event for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation was on hiatus for two years during the COVID-19 pandemic. The money raised will support cardiac care in the north.

“We are thrilled for the full return of the Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament with a few added surprises this year, including welcoming Lindsay, who will be hosting both the Friday night Player Auction and Saturday evening Event Auction,” said Aimee Cassie, CEO for Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, in a statement issued on Wednesday.

Hamilton is an anchor for SportsCentre and Weekday Morning Loop. Originally from Mississauga, Ont., she has hosted TSN’s Masters coverage and regional NHL broadcasts.

Prior to joining TSN in 2016, she covered the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the CBC News Network.

This year’s Cougars charity golf tournament is the nineth iteration of the event, which has raised more than $650,000 for healthcare in northern B.C. since its inception.
