Searchers have located the bodies of two women who were knocked into the Willow River when their jet boat flipped on Sunday.
The two women, along with two men, were riding in the jet boat when the boat lost power and slammed into a logjam. All four passengers were knocked out of the boat, but the two men were able to swim to shore.
The two women were unable to escape the powerful current in the spring-runoff swollen river.
Searchers combed the riverbank during the night, while others searched the river using jet boats and a helicopter. They located the body of the first victim early this morning.
The second victim was located at approximately 10 a.m.
The B.C. Coroner's Service is on scene, investigating the deaths. No further information, including the names of the victims, has been released as of press time.
