The UNBC women's basketball team has had a hot start to the season, currently sitting undefeated at 4-0 with one Timberwolf recognized for her play.
Vasiliki Louka, a fifth-year forward from Greece, recorded back-to-back doubles against Winnipeg last weekend (Nov. 2 and 3). That earned her the second star of the week in Canada West.
- Nov. 2 - 22 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 36 minutes
- Nov. 3 - 26 points, 14 rebounds, three assists in 34 minutes played
She leads Canada West women's basketball in rebounds, and rebounds per game (14.5). Louka is a huge reason the University of Northern British Columbia is off to their best start since joining Canada West.
