UNBC is just a really cool school according to the latest Maclean's University Rankings.
The Prince George university was ranked second place again in the Primarily Undergraduate category.
It's the sixth year in a row that UNBC has ranked in the top two spots on the list and the 12 years in the top three.
UNBC finished behind Mount Allison, while Trent University stayed at number three.
The school finished first in two of the top 14 categories used to determine the rankings: the number of students who have won national awards and the operating budget.
UNBC also finished with high marks in the student-to-faculty ratio (second place), the number of faculty citations (fourth) and total research dollars (also fourth).
“UNBC continually strives to be a University that transforms lives and communities in the North and around the world,” said UNBC President Dr. Daniel Weeks in a press release. “This ranking acknowledges our efforts at creating an environment that fosters creativity, inspires future leaders and enhances the research culture for our students, faculty and staff.”
Once again, we continue to be rated as a destination of choice for students across Canada as a top University of its size. There were also gains in the national reputation rankings for UNBC including innovation and developing leaders of tomorrow.

Burnaby's Simon Fraser University finished first in the comprehensive list.
