A motor vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon that temporarily closed Highway 16 in both directions east of Vanderhoof has been cleared and the highway is now open.
Drive BC reported the incident took place between Barsness Road and Sob Lake Lake (between 16 and 19 km east from Vanderhoof) and the highway was closed in both directions for about two hours while emergency crews responded to the accident.

The Drive BC website warns motorists of any closures or disruptions in traffic.
