Highway 16 has slightly re-opened to traffic near Prince George as first responders investigate a crash from this morning (Feb. 26).
DriveBC says the stretch between Hooper Road and Carmel Drive, three-kilometres west of the city, is expected to remain single-lane altenrating for several hours with a goal of fully re-opening by 3 p.m. this afternoon.
Commuters can expect delays and are asked to obey traffic controllers and emergency crews in the area.

DriveBC is reporting a highway closure near Prince George this morning (Feb. 26).
According to the provincial service, Highway 16 is closed in both directions three kilometres west of the city due to a vehicle incident.
This took place after 9 a.m., DriveBC says, between Hooper Road and Carmel Drive, however, no detour is listed for traffic in either direction.
An assessment is in progress.
