VIDEO: Prince George Cougar alum Brendan Guhle is latest NHL golf trick-shot master

Anaheim Ducks' defenceman shows off his indoor chipping skills

The Prince George Cougars’ 2017 season MVP is certainly making the most of his time in self-isolation.

As the NHL season is currently put on pause due to COVID-19, Brendan Guhle has joined the list of several players across the league showing fans on social media what they’re doing to keep themselves busy.

The Anaheim Ducks’ defenceman shared a golf trick-shot he completed at home.

Guhle is seen in the video chipping a ball from the top of a staircase and landing the ball in a small glass of water.

The 22-year-old then celebrates with a classic club twirl and pushing it down his side as if it were a sword.

His NHL franchise shared the video after 1 p.m. today (March 25) and has since garnered several reactions from fans, the general public and was even picked up by theScore.

Guhle was part of the Cougars’ 2017 B.C. Division banner-winning team after being traded from Prince Albert in November 2016.

He quickly took Prince George by storm and led all blue-liners in scoring with 13 goals and 29 points in 32 games.

The Buffalo Sabres drafted Guhle 51st overall in the 2015 Draft, but was traded to Anaheim in February last year.

Thus far, he has six points in 29 career NHL games.
