It's a feat only 13 NHL players have accomplished in history, and a Prince George product is in those ranks on a different continent.
On Sunday night (Dec. 20) in his third game in Germany's third-tier professional hockey league, Liam Blackburn put on a scoring clinic with five goals and added three helpers to record eight total points.
It led the way for his Passau Black Hawks team to a 9-2 triumph over Memmingen.
Blackburn has now tallied more points in three games (11) than any of his teammates could do in the first 11 of their 2020-21 Oberliga season.

The 24-year-old former Cariboo Cougar and national junior 'A' champion now joins elite company as an eight-point scorer in a single game.
The last time an NHLer had a night like that was Sam Gagner on Feb. 2, 2012 with the Edmonton Oilers, when he recorded four goals and four assists.
Other legends include Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Maurice 'Rocket' Richard and Darryl Sittler, who holds the all-time record when he put up 10 points on Feb. 7, 1976 with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Blackburn signed with Passau earlier this month, located 170 km northeast of Munich.
After moving up from fourth-tier and notching 18 points in seven games, he made an instant impact by scoring the 2-1 overtime-winning goal in his home debut with the Black Hawks on Dec. 14.
