As we say goodbye to another year, why not look back a little further into Prince George’s past.
This vintage footage of Prince George in the 1960s was shared to the Facebook Group You Know You’re from Prince George B.C. When by Reta Herrick.
The five-minute video depicts a winterly Prince George with a population of just 13,500 (according to the welcome sign at the time) as well as a drive through downtown and a few neighbourhoods.
Familiar buildings can be spotted as vintage cars pass by and there’s a great shot of Mr. PG when he was still made of wood.
The video provides a walk down memory lane and showcases what Prince George was like almost 60 years ago.
