A man with a history of violence and suspected of driving dangerously is at large.
Prince George RCMP issued a wanted bulletin Wednesday for Hayden Lee Alwood.
He is described as 28 years old, 6’3” (191 cm) tall and weighing 223 lb (101 kg) with brown hair, brown eyes a tattoo on right forearm of the words “Family Loyalty for life” and a scar on left forearm.
Alwood faces a count of dangerous driving from an incident in January and two subsequent counts of breaching a release order earlier this month.
Alwood is known to police and the courts, most notably for his his role in what has been described as "vicious, cowardly" swarming-style attacks against two youths in January 2013.
In April 2016, Alwood was sentenced to six years less credit for time served on offences from that incident and gained statutory release in July 2018.
In December 2020, when he was arrested on a count of dangerous driving, for which he was later issued a two-year driving prohibition.
And in January 2021, he was sentenced to one year probation and issued a two-year firearms prohibition for possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.
Alwood is considered violent and should not be approached, RCMP warn. Instead, if you see him, you're urged to contact police immediately.
