Waste Management issues notice to clear snow and ice around Prince George garbage bins

Collecting trash is especially hard in the winter as ice and snow around dumpsters can prevent collection, Waste Management advises. The company is reminding business owners and managers of properties or apartment complexes to ensure that there is a clear path free from snow and ice so garbage trucks can easily collect trash and recyclables

 “Ice and snow can prevent WM drivers from collecting because they can’t access containers,” said WM director of operations Chad Brooks. “We’re asking businesses and property managers to keep areas clear and safe to ensure regular collection.”
