After the Gladiators opened the scoring in the bottom half of the first frame, thanks to a Mike Schwab RBI, they maintained a strong defensive effort.

- 4 - Inland Control and Services Tigers
- 0 - Queensway Auto World Red Sox
Tigers’ Cole Laviolette got the complete-game shut out against the first-place Red Sox, throwing seven strikeouts and allowing just one walk in the contest.
He was backed up by his defense with nine fly-out catches, five from outfielders Mike Stang, Angelo Desantis, and Ryan Hampe.
On the sticks, the Tigers had three doubles, including one off the bat of Chris Clark in the seventh that resulted in an two-run RBI to extend his team’s lead.

The Red Sox bounced back right out of the gate with a Quentin Astorino home-run off the fifth pitch of the game.
