Evacuation orders and alerts increase for Teare Creek wildfire near McBride.

More evacuation orders and alerts have been issued for the Teare Creek Wildfire near McBride.

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George and the Village of McBride are issuing updated notifications for the wildfire east of McBride.

The following areas are under evacuation order:

• All properties north of McBride Highway 16 E from Laing Road west to Village of McBride boundary, including Koeneman Road, and Mountain View Road

• All properties along Mountain View Road north of the Fraser River

• All properties north of McBride Highway 16 W and Museum Road from Village of McBride boundary west to Dore River including Shovar Road, Museum Road and Red Tail Road

• All properties north of McBride Highway 16 within the Village of McBride.

The following areas are under evacuation alert:

• Properties with an area that extends approximately 5 kilometers from the boundary of the Village of McBride

• All properties south of McBride Highway 16 within the Village of McBride.

Those who are in an evacuation order area must leave the area immediately and register with Evacuation Support Services.

Those who are in an evacuation alert area should prepare in the event an evacuation is required and take the following steps:

• Secure alternate accommodations (friends and family)

• Arrange a place to meet family or co-workers

• Make sure your vehicle is fueled up

• Wear and pack season appropriate clothing

• Take purse, cash & credit cards

• Make travel arrangements

• Take medications, eye glasses, documents, photos & ID

• Bring blankets, sleeping bags, books & games

• Make arrangements for pets and take leashes, crates, pet food

• Collect photos and mementos that can't be replaced
