RCMP located a large indoor grow operation April 10 in the Springhouse area near Williams Lake.Police found more than 1,800 marijuana plants on the property with an estimated annual value of $1.35 million along with evidence of theft of power from BC Hydro.
Williams Lake RCMP have identified the suspects and arrests are anticipated in the near future.
RCMP Cpl. Brian Evans said the find is another example of the detachment's commitment to targeting organized crime groups from the Lower Mainland who are setting up illegal grow operations in the Cariboo region.
Evans added that 10,000 plants have been seized in the past month in four separate grow ops in the area, and encourages the public to continue to report any suspicious persons or properties where criminal activity appears to be taking place.
