A snowfall warning is in effect for areas north of Prince George with amounts of up to 10 centimetres expected tonight.
The warning includes Highway 97 and the Pine Pass from Bear Lake to Link Creek, Carp Lake Provincial Park, McLeod Lake, Mackenzie, and Fort St James. Rapidly-accumulating snow will make travel difficult in some sections of the highway.

Prince George will also get dumped on with snow beginning this evening and ending overnight. Most of the city will receive about five centimetres but the Hart area to the north will likely get closer to 10 cm.
The overnight low will drop to -2 C with a wind chill of -9 C.
Friday will bring a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 6 C, with a low of 2 C expected.
There’s a 60 per cent chance of rain showers on Saturday with a high of 5 C, changing to flurries on Sunday with a high of 6 C.
Sunny and warm springlike conditions are expected Monday-Wednesday with highs ranging from 7-9 C.
