An agreement granting Canada approved destination status with China may have been signed but it will be some time yet before the benefits are noticed in this region, says Northern B.C. Tourism Association president Anthony Everett.

An agreement granting Canada approved destination status with China may have been signed but it will be some time yet before the benefits are noticed in this region, says Northern B.C. Tourism Association president Anthony Everett.

"We're probably going to see impacts right away on iconic destinations in Canada like the Rocky Mountains, Vancouver, Niagara Falls," Everett said. "But in northern British Columbia, we just have a ways to cultivate the market.
