It's Peace Week at the Prince George YMCA and the organization is looking for a few good people deserving of being awarded a Peace Week medallion.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to peace making in any of the following categories:
Northern B.C.: An individual or group who has had a hand in creating peaceful communities and promotes innovative and sustainable solutions to violence, conflict or discrimination.
National-international: An individual or group who has had a direct impact on national or international communities.
Youth: An individual under age 30 who has had a direct impact on local, national or international communities.
To nominate someone, visit www.pgymca.com, where a peace building activity guide can also be downloaded. Peace Week runs Nov. 20-27, but the deadline for nominations is Dec. 31.
