In the ongoing hockey conflict between the Prince George Spruce Kings and Quesnel Millionaires, Chris Allbee will be taking up arms for the other side.
Allbee, a local centreman who was a standout player during the Spruce Kings' recent spring camp at the Coliseum, has committed to the rival Millionaires for next B.C. Hockey League season.
"(The Spruce Kings) never talked to me -- I don't know if they were interested or not but after spring camp they never said anything to me," Allbee said. "Quesnel had been talking to me and showed their interest so that's where I'm going."
In an intrasquad game at the end of the Kings' camp, Allbee scored four goals and added an assist for Team Blue in a 9-3 win against Team White.
"I thought I had a good final game there and thought they might say something but, who knows, they have their own ideas and they know what they want to see out there," Allbee said. "That's for them to decide, not me."
