Allbee pots four in spring camp finale

Chris Allbee was good enough to make the cut to play in the Prince George Spruce Kings' top prospects game.

Chris Allbee was good enough to make the cut to play in the Prince George Spruce Kings' top prospects game.

But nobody expected the 18-year-old winger to collect four goals and an assist and lead Team Blue to a 9-3 win over Team White to wrap up the three-day spring camp.

Allbee was one of five Cariboo midget Cougars out of the ice Sunday afternoon trying to impress the Kings' brass and he did that, playing on a line with Dylan Richardson of Williams Lake and Scott Mackay of Surrey.

"It was lots of fun, I had two good linemates who gave me some good passes and I had a lot of puck luck this weekend -- everything seemed to go my way," said Allbee, who had eight goals and 12 assists all season in 28 B.C. Major Midget League games.

"That's what I came here for -- to make the team -- and we'll see how things work out. Everything has to be faster, quicker feet, quicker passes, and you just have to work harder."
