The B.C. Amateur Championship is the tournament the two local golfers most look forward to each season. They'll play a practice round today at the Castlegar Golf Club and then tee up for real Tuesday through Friday -- assuming, of course, they survive the two-day cut.

"This is huge," the 19-year-old Anderson said of competing in the Amateur. "This is the biggest event of the summer for me, really. It's what I work for all summer -- to go and play my best and do my best and try and qualify for the Canadian Am."
