The Prince George Barracudas swimmer stroked her way to six club records and four medals at the Swim Canada Western Canadian Championships, held in Kamloops on the weekend. Ludlow, in the girls 15-and-under category, established new club marks in the 400-metre individual medley, 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle and 100m freestyle and earned medals in all those events. In the 400 IM (time of four minutes 54.33 seconds) and 400 freestyle (4:16.94), she touched the wall for golds. In the 800 free (8:59.26) and 100 free (57.11 seconds), she finished in bronze-medal position.

Ludlow also set new club standards in 1,500m freestyle and 50m freestyle. In eight of her nine swims, she also posted personal-best times, including in the 50m butterfly and 200 IM.

Other Prince George medalists at the competition were Sterling King and Haley Black.

King, in the boys 16-and-under division, zipped to silver in the 200m butterfly. His time, two minutes 7.47 seconds, was also a new Barracudas record. The old one was set back in 1999 by Robbie Dunbar (2:09.00).

Black, who joined Ludlow in the girls 15-and-under group, grabbed a bronze in the 100m butterfly and broke her own club record by almost a second.

Kathryn Binnema, Katie Mann, Grace Ni, Claire Shrimpton and Kailey Tress also represented the Barracudas at westerns. The club finished 19th out of 30 teams.
