There's no truth to the rumour Terry Blocka will be banned from the Loyal Order of the Moose Hall on Douglas Street the next time there's a cribbage tournament.
But if he keeps winning tournaments like he did over the weekend, at the very least he'll be in high demand as a team player.
Blocka won the singles tournament and the $135 purse on Saturday, then teamed up with Linton Walker to capture the doubles crown on Sunday.
"He may be blocked from playing there again," joked Walker, who shared the $135 doubles pot with Blocka.
Fifty-four players entered the singles tournament, while the doubles event had 68 players.
Andy Dyck laid down a 28-point hand to win high-hand honours and a $75 prize.
The Moose Hall at 633 Douglas St. hosts crib doubles nights every Monday night at 7. All players are welcome.
