Boxer Seehra stepping into national ring

Jag Seehra of Prince George and 18 other B.C. athletes are in Quebec City this week preparing for the national boxing championships. Seehra, 25, is a three-time medalist at the national event, having won two bronze and one silver.

Jag Seehra of Prince George and 18 other B.C. athletes are in Quebec City this week preparing for the national boxing championships.

Seehra, 25, is a three-time medalist at the national event, having won two bronze and one silver. Seehra has been training the past month with the B.C. team in Nanaimo with provincial team head coach Bob Pegues, his longtime trainer with the Inner City Boxing Club.

Seehra, a former national B team member, is scheduled to fight in the 60 kilogram class, with competition beginning on Tuesday.
