Jared Rathjen made 31 saves, including three beauties with his pads in the first period, to lead the Cariboo Cougars to a 3-2 victory over the Fraser Valley Bruins in B.C. Major Midget League action on Wednesday.
The game was the second in as many days, a makeup series following the December bus crash that postponed a weekend set. Fraser Valley flew to Prince George this time.
The Cougars are now in first place in the BCMML.
