The Duchess Park Condors, who had watched a big lead against the D.P. Todd Trojans disappear, weren't about to let the senior boys basketball city championship title slip completely away from them. The Condors, in front of a frenzied crowd at the Northern Sport Centre on Monday night, stepped up the offensive and defensive pressure on D.P. Todd as the clock ticked down. They were rewarded with a series of foul shots and hit three of them, enough to give them a 77-72 victory.
