The Prince George Cougars defeated the Wenatchee Wild 6-2 on Wednesday.

Zac Funk recorded his sixth hat-trick and became the first Canadian Hockey League skater this season to reach 40 goals. Riley Heidt contributed two goals to the scoreboard, while Borya Valis had three assists in his first game with his new team since being traded to the Cougars from Regina.

Rookie goaltender Josh Ravensbergen earned his 13th win of the season, making 25 saves.

The Cougars are off today before a hectic weekend, with games in Seattle Friday, Portland on Saturday and Everett on Sunday.
