North Central Motorsport Park, the local quarter-mile drag strip, is under new ownership and will be back on the start line on Friday night.
NCMP, north of the city on Chief Lake Rd., has been purchased from former owner Ron Cowie by a local real estate developer who wishes to remain anonymous at this time.
"He wants to stay in the background," new general manager Dan Vandenbrink said on Tuesday. "He's got quite a few other business concerns and stuff like that."
