Flyers claim trophy after defeating Cougars in U13 Tier 2 Rep hockey tournament

Undefeated Flyers earn championship trophy with win over host Cougars.

The Fort St. John Flyers were unstoppable this past weekend in Prince George. The Flyers were one of six teams competing in the Deep Freeze 2021 U13 Tier 2 Rep Hockey Tournament that took place December 10th, 11th, and 12th.

Fort St. John faced the host PGMHA U13 Tier 2 Cougars in the gold medal game on Sunday afternoon. The Flyers scored early and often, defeating the Cougars by a final score of 16-2. Fort St. John went undefeated in the tournament earning their spot in the gold medal final by beating the PGMHA U13 Tier 2 Cougars by a score of 14-1, Dawson Creek Canucks 10-1, Williams Lake Wolverines 11-1, Kitimat Winterhawks 10-1, and Smithers Storm 12-1. The Flyers goaltenders were hot between the pipes only allowing seven goals in six games on their way to hoisting the championship trophy.
