Riley Heidt scored two goals, including the game winner with 45 seconds left in the third period, as the Prince George Cougars staged a late comeback for a 3-2 win over the Portland Winterhawks on Friday at CN Centre.
Bauer Dumanski scored the other Cougars goal.
Goaltender Joshua Ravensbergen played a pivotal role, stopping 25 of 27 shots for the Cougars.
The same two teams face off again tonight at 6.
