Duchess Park Condors quarterback Quinn Neukomm (3), shown scrambling for yardage last week against the PGSS Polars, will have to be fast on his feet again today when the Condors take on the College Heights Cougars in a BCSSFA playoff game at 5 p.m. at Masich Place Stadium. Then at 7 p.m. the Polars play the Kelly Road Shas Ti Eagles for the right to play in next week's P.G. Bowl.

It’s crunch time for the four remaining local teams vying for the B.C. Secondary Schools Football Association double-A varsity provincial championship.

North Division semifinals will be played on the field today at Masich Place Stadium and two teams will emerge as P.G. Bowl finalists next Friday.

In today’s 5 p.m. matchup, the second-place Duchess Park Condors (3-1-0) take on the third-place College Heights Cougars (2-1-1), followed by the game between the first-place Prince George Polars (3-1-0) against the fourth-place Kelly Road Shas Ti Grizzlies (1-3-0).

The Polars handed the Condors their first loss of the season a week ago, a 26-20 outcome decided by a last-minute touchdown from PGSS running back Kurtis Vohar.

Duchess Park opened the season Sept. 24 with a 23-0 win over College Heights. The Cougars, who did not play last week, are the only team to beat PGSS this season. That happened Oct. 15 at Masich when they edged the Polars 26-16.

PGSS topped Kelly Road 28-6 in their season-opener on Sept. 24.
