Inglis makes the grade

Cougars centre added to Team WHL roster for Subway Super Series

Charles Inglis is still too young to play the lottery in B.C. but felt like he'd won the big one Tuesday night in Kelowna.

The 18-year-old Prince George Cougars forward learned he'll be part of Team WHL to play the Russians in the Subway Super Series game in Prince George.

Inglis will join teammate Brett Connolly, Cougars head coach Dean Clark and Prince George minor hockey product Ryan Howse of the Chilliwack Bruins on the WHL team in the last of six Super Series games, Nov. 18 at CN Centre. Clark, the assistant coach for the Super Series game, broke the news to Inglis Tuesday, after the Cougars lost 6-2 to the Kelowna Rockets.

"It means a lot, they pick the best WHL players to play in that game that Russian team so I feel very honoured and happy that I was selected," said Inglis.

"I think it might be a combination of how well I've been playing and maybe they decided to chuck me on because it's kind of convenient because I am in P.G. and there won't be much travel."

Tickets for the game are now more than two-thirds sold, with less than 2,000 seats available. Tickets are available through www.ticketmaster.ca or at the CN Centre box office, which can be reached at (250) 564-5585.
