The 2022 Canadian Biathlon Championships opened on Sunday with a morning session of racing, and an afternoon session of racing at Otway Nordic Centre.
The morning session featured 106 athletes competing in five classes. Those classes were Sr Girl's 6km Sprint, Sr Boy's 6km Sprint, Masters Women 35+ 6km Sprint, Masters Men 50+ 6km Sprint, Masters Men 35+ 6km Sprint,
In the afternoon session of racing, 87 athletes took part in one of six different classes of racing. Those divisions were Men's 10km Sprint, Women's 7.5km Sprint, Jr Men's 10km Sprint, Jr Women's 7.5km Sprint, Youth Men 7.5km Sprint, and Youth Women 6km Sprint.
Competition will continue until Thursday, March 17th, with morning races starting at 10:00 a.m., and afternoon racing starting at 1:30 p.m.
Monday will see Pursuit racing with the Sr Boys and Girls, and Masters 35+ and 50+ racing in the morning session, with Men, Women, Jr Men, Jr Women, Youth Men, and Youth Women racing in the afternoon session.
