Prince George snowboard cross racer Meryeta O’Dine posted her two best results in more than two years over the weekend at FIS World Cup races in Gadauri, Georgia.
The 28-year-old went back to back with sixth-place finishes Saturday and Sunday after she placed second in the small final of both races.
The two-time bronze medalist at the 2022 Olympics qualified 12th in Gadauri.
Her two race results left her with 129 points, moving O’Dine into 12th place in the FIS Crystal Globe points standings.
For O’Dine, it was her best results since March 12, 2023, when she placed eighth at a World Cup race in France.
Charlotte Bankes of Great Britain won Sunday’s race, her fifth win in seven World Cup events this season. Bankes did not race Saturday, which left the door open for Julia Pereira de Sousa of France to grab top spot on the podium after a silver-medal finish on Saturday.
Pereira de Sousa was the silver medalist Sunday and Lea Casta of France captured bronze.
The race drew 26 starters.
Tomas Julien of France won the men’s race Sunday, his first World Cup podium. Lukas Pachner of Austria took silver and Loan Bozzollo of France was the bronze medalist.
