When K-Lynn Hogh was handed the Softball B.C. Community Coaching Award, she immediately thought of all the others who could be standing in her place.
"I guess there were a couple associations within our district -- not just Prince George -- that nominated me for this award, so I'm very grateful for that, but at the same time humbled because I know there are other coaches out there that do the same, if not more, than I do in their local associations," Hogh said. "It's nice to be recognized for the work that you put in."
Hogh, a 25-year-old Prince George resident, was presented with the award at the recent Softball B.C. annual general meeting in Richmond. She has been coaching local and regional teams for 13 years now. And, from 2008 to 2009, she was president of both the Prince George Minor Girls Softball Association and the Spruce City Minor Boys Fastball Association.
