Racers light up the speedway during a dry weekend

Local drivers and WESCAR joined together to tear up the PGARA Speedway.

Race fans were treated to high-speed action Friday night with local racers and WESCAR joining together to tear up the PGARA Speedway.

Local classes, including Hornet, Mini Stock and Street Stock, took to the asphalt for a double-point day to make up for the rained-out Turgeon Memorial race from May 25.

The 15 WESCAR teams that made the trip to Prince George completed dashes before competing in a 100-lap main event, which saw multiple crashes.
