The expected Monday introduction of Mike Raimbault as new head coach of the Winnipeg Wesmen men's basketball team was postponed and will likely happen Tuesday instead.
Raimbault led the UNBC Northern Timberwolves to a Canadian Colleges Athletic Association national championship last month and is now poised to move up to the next level with the Wesmen, who compete in the Canada West conference of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).
Rob van Adrichem, UNBC's vice president of external relations, said Monday he was still waiting for official confirmation of Raimbault's hiring.
"I'm am under the impression that that (announcement) is being delayed, hence my reluctance to say anything," van Adrichem said.
"There's something probably to come."
On Monday, a Citizen source said everything should be made official Tuesday.
