Raimbault finished at UNBC

Men's basketball head coach hired by University of Winnipeg

As reported Monday and Tuesday in The Citizen, Mike Raimbault is the new head coach of the Winnipeg Wesmen men's basketball team. The official announcement was made on Tuesday afternoon.

Raimbault spent the past two seasons as floor boss of the UNBC Northern Timberwolves. Last month in Calgary, he led them to their first-ever national title. In the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association championship game, the T-wolves beat the SAIT Trojans 96-63.

The Wesmen compete in the Canada West conference of Canadian Interuniversity Sport. Raimbault's hometown is Brandon, a two-hour drive from Winnipeg.
