The Prince George Spruce Kings suffered their second loss of a three-game, three-night B.C. Hockey League roadtrip Thursday in Langley.
Justin Szeto and Adam Sinclair scored goals 51 seconds apart in the second period to get the Langley Rivermen started and they went on to defeat the Spruce Kings 4-1.
Braiden Epp brought the visitors to within a goal 7:37 into the third period, but Justin Fregona restored Langley's two-goal lead at the 12:23 mark and Torrin White added to the count late with an empty-net goal.
Shots were 35-29 in the Spruce Kings' favour. Sam Tanguay took the loss in the Prince George nets. Bo Didur made 34 saves in goal for Langley.
The loss dropped the fifth-place Spruce Kings (7-20-0-2) further out of a playoff position in the Mainland Division. Prince George is now 16 points behind the third-place Rivermen (16-11-0-0) and eight points back of the fourth-place Coquitlam Express (10-11-1-3). Coquitlam has four games in hand over the Kings.
The Spruce Kings, who lost 4-0 to the Chiefs Wednesday in Chilliwack, will wrap up their trip tonight in Coquitlam.
