In the 30-year history of CN Centre and its previous incarnation as the Prince George Multiplex, roller derby has never been showcased in the city’s premier entertainment centre.
That’s about to change.
On Saturday, June 14, Roller Derby Rocks is coming to the city, featuring the home town Rated PG Thrashers going head-to-head in a bout with the North Coast Nightmares of Terrace/Kitimat.
“We can’t wait to bring all the hits, whips, speed, and power of live roller derby to the CN Centre this summer,” said Rated PG Roller Derby organizer Alicia “Lockdown” Hogg.
“It’s going to be an incredible experience showcasing our sport in the spectacular CN Centre to both new and existing fans.”
Tickets go on sale Tuesday at the TicketsNorth box office at CN Centre. Adult tickets are $25 each and kids 12-and-under get in for $15.
You can online or charge by phone at 1-888-293-6613.
The show starts at 7 p.m. and doors will open at 6.
