Sean Gaiesky ran like the wind.

In fact, he blew away the competition in the bantam boys 1,500-metre run at the North Central Zone track and field championships. Although he's only in Grade 8, Gaiesky posted the third-quickest time of the day overall, finishing in 4:43.82.

"I was hoping to break 4:40 but I felt pretty good with it," said the 14-year-old Gaiesky. "I won by at least a quarter of a lap."

Gaiesky has always been quick on his feet and that became apparent as soon as he joined the Prince George Track and Field Club at age 6. Whether it was on the running track or on the soccer field, he's always been a step ahead of his peers.
