Jag Seehra has joined boxing's century club.
The 24-year-old Inner City Boxing Club member celebrated the 100th fight of his amateur career Friday night with a win by unanimous decision over Roberto Simon of Seattle at the Tacoma (Wash.) Golden Gloves championships.
Then on Saturday night, Seehra defeated Yonnie Rubio of Seattle in another unanimous poll of the judges.
"He blew the guy out, actually, he scored a couple of eight-counts," said Inner City coach Bob Pegues. "Jag now has a 71-30 record."
Seehra, who fights at 60 kilograms, and former national A-team fighter Kenny Lally will be among the featured boxers in the Night of the Fighting Irish fight card, Saturday, May 3 at the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre.
"We have six Irish boxers coming, and whatever [bouts] we can't make up out of that Irish team we'll make up with boxers from Tacoma," said Pegues.
