Spruce Kings pick up defender Sollied from Nanaimo

He's also played for the Merritt Centennials in his 68-game BCHL career

The Prince George Spruce Kings have announced that Erik Sollied, acquired from the Nanaimo Clippers in exchange for future considerations, is joining the team.

The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired defenseman Erik Sollied from the Nanaimo Clippers in exchange for future considerations."

“Erik is a veteran BCHL player who will come in and help solidify our back end," said GM Mike Hawes. "He's also a tremendous young man who will fit seamlessly into our program. We're thrilled to add him."

Sollied, born in 2005, is a 6’0, 179-pound defensemen who has played 68 BCHL games over the past three seasons, including time in Merritt (2022-2023) and Nanaimo (2023-2024).

Sollied has three goals and 11 assists in his career.

Prior to his time in the BCHL, the Langley native played with the Valley West Giants U18 team of the BCEHL.
