A lopsided defeat ended the season of the UNBC Northern Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves lost 84-49 to the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics in a Saturday morning game at the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association men's basketball national championship tournament. The Mystics, from Halifax, were in control for most of the contest. They outscored the T-wolves 24-7 in the first quarter, 21-11 in the third and 22-10 in the fourth.
With the win, the Mystics advanced to the bronze medal game against the Vancouver Island University Mariners.
The Timberwolves, the defending champions, finished nationals with a 1-2 record.
