A vacancy now exists at the top of the Prince George Track and Field Club.

Tom Masich, who spent 37 years at the controls of the PGTFC, stepped down as chairman when the club held its annual general meeting Saturday afternoon at Masich Place Stadium. His replacement is expected to be named sometime in the next month.

"I'm content that (the club) will be in good hands," said Masich, who turned 74 on May 10. "There are plenty of people to take care of it and we've left a legacy of facility and equipment and the club's in good position right now financially. I feel if those things are in place, then I don't have to worry about having stepped down with the club in dire straits."
