UNBC men's basketball team loses on last-second shot

With 0.8 seconds left on the clock, UNBC came within inches of tying the game off a spectacular in-bound pass alley-oop attempt but the ball hit the outside of the rim.

The UNBC men’s basketball team dropped a narrow 87-85 decision Friday to the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns at the Northern Sport Centre.

Lethbridge forward Jack-Henry Fox-Grey hit the go-ahead shot with just under a second remaining to give the visitors their final lead of the night.

With 0.8 seconds left on the clock, UNBC came within inches of tying the game off a spectacular in-bound pass alley-oop attempt but the ball hit the outside of the rim.

Spencer Ledoux led the home side with 26 points while Josh Gillespie chimed in with 11 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals.

The rematch with Lethbridge is tonight at 7 at UNBC.
