UNBC men's basketball team split weekend games

The team returns to action on Nov. 17 and 18, hosting the Grant MacEwan Griffins at home.

The UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team won one and lost one of their two weekend nailbiter games with the University of Fraser Valley Cascades at the Northern Centre in Prince George.

On Friday, the Timberwolves came from behind to win 77-69 but couldn’t duplicate the effort Saturday, falling 90-88, despite holding a seven-point halftime lead.

Evgeny Baukin led UNBC on Friday with 18 points, seven rebounds, five steals, three assists, and two blocks. Justin Sunga had 10 points. Spencer Ledeux led UNBC on Saturday with 19 points, with Chris Ross chipping in 16.

The team returns to action on Nov. 17 and 18, hosting the Grant MacEwan Griffins at home.
