UNBC Timberwolves receive academic awards

The U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians for the 2022-2023 school year posted a grade point average of 3.67 (an A- letter grade) or higher.

Twenty-three students with the UNBC Timberwolves athletics program have been named U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians for the 2022-2023 school year for posting a grade point average of 3.67 (an A- letter grade) or higher.

Those students represent approximately 30 percent of the student-athletes at UNBC, a media release said.

The UNBC women’s basketball team captured the Office of the Provost Academic Achievement Award thanks to their collective GPA of 3.59. The award goes to the Timberwolves varsity team with the highest GPA during the season.
