The UNBC Timberwolves basketball teams lost their Saturday games against the UBC Thunderbirds at the Northern Sport Centre.
The men’s team lost 83-71. Evgeny Baukin scored 15 for the TWolves while adding five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal.
The women’s team fell 81-65 to UBC. UNBC was led by a 14-point, 15 rebound double-double effort from Svetlana Boykova along with double-digit efforts from Rebecca Landry (13), Viktoriia Filatova (11) and Amrit Manak (13).
The Timberwolves teams are in Kamloops next weekend for a double-header with Thompson Rivers University.
