The Viking Construction Cougars got some results they can build on.
The Cats, Prince George's peewee Tier 1 rep hockey team, were in Kelowna and Kamloops for weekend games in the Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association. During the trip, the Cougars posted a 1-2-1 record.
The Cats opened with a 5-3 Friday loss to Kelowna. That result stung, because Prince George surrendered a 3-1 third-period lead. All three Cougars goals -- two on the power play and one shorthanded -- were provided by Mitchell Williams.
In a Saturday rematch, Kelowna beat Prince George 5-2.
That night, in Kamloops, the Cats beat that city's rep team 4-1. On Sunday, the Cougars finished off their hectic weekend by skating to a 5-5 tie with Kamloops.
Other members of the Cougars are Rylan Anderson, Jarin Sutton, Jeremy Gervais, Devin Sutton, Jared Stevens, James Gordon, Garrett Hilton, Darren Hards, Connor Johnson, Korbyn Chabot, Christopher Jandric, Brad Price, Rob Raju, Kaiden Goggin, Brandon Sande and Devyn Wasylyshen.
